What is an E-commerce website?
An E-commerce website is a website based around trading. It can sell products or services. Normally arranged as an online shop, it can support selling physical tangiable items or digital items such as files, music, videos and software. Our on-line stores are content managed meaning that you can edit the products, their descriptions and photographs. They also have an entirely editable front page and additional pages suitable for editiorial and promotional use. The ordering payment and fulfilment systems are all easily managed by the you with our training.

All of this comes in our standard E-commerce store which with a choice of three designs can have your logo added to make it your own. Our Ecommerce system can be linked with Sage office and account systems, payment and stock control. We can link courier systems Royal Mail, UPS etcOur stores can easily be linked to secure payment systems such as PayPal, Sage Pay (formerly ProtX) Barlays EPDQ, Other systems on request. Or Secure payment systems can be set up as part of your web hosting with us to include “3D” secure credit card clearance on site, there are various security and data implecations that we would work with you to meet.
How do you train me?
Once the system is installed we will train you to add products and images. You do not need any more knowledge or skills than those used in creating business documents and emails. You do not need to learn html code. We train you to edit text and images on your website and to preparare the information necessary, to build your store. Starting, usually on your computer the training is designed to quickly familliarise you with all aspects of your on-line store. You will learn how to manage the content. The training is divided between preparing the products for sale, such as adding new products, prices and new categories of products, and back office procedures, such as the smooth running of orders, payments, stock controls, editing of prices, codes, photos. orders, postage, keeping customers informed and using the stores inbuilt stationery for invoices and packing slips.. The training usually consists of 3 x 2 hour sessions, allowing you plenty of practice between them. We offer telephone support while you put into practise what your have learnt. Further support is available in 2 hour blocks as required, and after the first year further support is available if required.
Designing the look of your store
The standard store package comes with 3 in built designs that can have you logo added to. However this is just the start of what is possible! Additional design work can transform your store into a fully featured website and will compliment your existing brand or can be made a starting point for a completely new brand. Building the website is more than making it look pretty, the way your information organised the structure of the site itself, and how your visitors move around it is all considered as part of our web design process. Organising the order and relationships of the various areas of your store is crucial to helping you get the most sales. And our websites are designed with the search engines in mind. The costs for this vary considerably as a guide a basic store starts at £1400.00+vat. Additional work is always quoted in advance.
Growing your On-line store
Once your trading is underway and you have been adding products and handling orders for a while, you may feel the need for additional features. We can discuss your requirements and make additions as required.

After your initial training and while your website begins to grow we will keep in contact to monitor your progress. Our existing clients talk with us on a regular basis as they have new business areas they are delveloping or when their time is short we can take over the updating of your website as a one off service or on a regular basis.
